I had recently decided that I might need to take the plunge and buy a chunky gold watch by Michael Kors for myself. Today however, I was lucky enough to stumble upon an alternative at a much more affordable price. See below:

For me it was a no-brainer. Although I love the Michael Kors one and I've had my eye on it for a while, for a difference of almost $190, I am thrilled with my new purchase (and a little richer).

I know for some people a watch is a staple and well worth the money for them. For myself, it's really more of a fashion statement than a necessity. What do you think? Would you have just taken the plunge anyway to have the "it" watch?
