I have decided to start a "trend watch" series. Oftentimes I will blog about an emerging trend without ever identifying it as such. By not doing so, I do not get to explore variations of the trend, and I want to start doing that because it's fascinating, right?
Todays trend watch is
printed denim. We noticed a huge surge in prints S/S '11 (perhaps even before that, that's just when I started blogging and took notice) and it has taken off from there, i.e.: printed pant suits -
see Krystal,
citrus prints (Stella McCartney, #obsessed),
polka dots,
star prints,
tribal print skirts, etc.
And now these prints and trends are carrying over to my personal favorite wardrobe staple: The Jean. See my first take on the trend with leopard print Current/Elliotts
here. From animal print, to stripes, and floral, I have a feeling this trend will be around for a while… I am currently craving a pair of floral print ones, though these chevron ones just below are simply amazenuts.

Anybody else trying out this
printed denim pant trend or thinking about it?
