Eskimo Kisses

Coat: Michael Kors (Outlet). Jeans: J Brand (my favorites). Shoes: Me Too (TJ Maxx).

I have been loving this coat that I got as a Christmas present! This winter has been very mild so far in Boston so I have been able to wear my coats a lot rather than my big puffy down coat, which has been so nice. Mother nature is spoiling us this year…

Reality TV

Blazer: Gap. Dress: Thrifted (H&M label). Belt: J Crew (Factory). Tights: No Label. Shoes: Tahari. Necklace: Gifted. Nails: Essie "Mod Square".

These shoes make me tall. Correction: feel tall. They have a platform and a heel so they do give me 3+ inches, which is enough to make me feel like a giant while doing daily tasks like brushing my teeth when the sink seems so much lower than normal… anybody else ever get this feeling when sporting heels that are seemingly sky-high?

I wore this to work the other day and I felt very Lauren Conrad in it for some reason… Man I miss The Hills...

Jungle Poodles

Top: Sara Campbell. Skirt: Talbots (warehouse). Tights: No Label. Shoes: Tahari. Lipstick: Mac "Ruby Woo". Nails: Essie "Mod Square".

I have been dying for this skirt to make it's debut on the blog. I bought it over a year ago and it sat in my closet forever waiting for me to bring it to the tailor (I needed it hemmed up about 6 inches). I am so glad I finally got around to getting that taken care of!

Anybody else have an animal print, or any fun print skirt?

The Party in My Head

Top: Land's End nautical tee (remember this post?). Pants: Forever 21. Leopard Loafers: Steve Madden. Headband: J Crew. Nails: Essie "Fifth Avenue". Lipstick: Nars "Schiap". Ring: Souvenir from Spain. Bracelet: DIY.

Ugh, winter = indoor photo shoots = bad lighting. I need to work on my lighting skills!

Still loving the colorful denim trend. I used a good portion of an old Forever 21 credit I found when cleaning out my wallet on these purple denim pants and the coat from a previous post, and could not be happier with my picks!

Is the season change affecting your blog photo shoots?

These shoes have become my go-to shoes now...

Trend Watch 1: Printed Denim Pants

I have decided to start a "trend watch" series. Oftentimes I will blog about an emerging trend without ever identifying it as such. By not doing so, I do not get to explore variations of the trend, and I want to start doing that because it's fascinating, right?

Todays trend watch is printed denim. We noticed a huge surge in prints S/S '11 (perhaps even before that, that's just when I started blogging and took notice) and it has taken off from there, i.e.: printed pant suits -see Krystal, citrus prints (Stella McCartney, #obsessed), polka dots, star prints, tribal print skirts, etc.

And now these prints and trends are carrying over to my personal favorite wardrobe staple: The Jean. See my first take on the trend with leopard print Current/Elliotts here. From animal print, to stripes, and floral, I have a feeling this trend will be around for a while… I am currently craving a pair of floral print ones, though these chevron ones just below are simply amazenuts.
(AG Adriano Goldschmeid, shop it here)

(Current/Elliott pastel leopard, shop it here)
(Citizens of Humanity floral print denim, shop it here)
(Gap Snakeskin - shop it here, on sale!)
(Rebecca Minkoff, these are the coolest. Shop it here, on sale!)

Anybody else trying out this printed denim pant trend or thinking about it?

And Eh, There's Nothin' Else I Can Say...

Top: Banana Republic (Last year). Pants: J Brand velvet jeggings. Wellies: Henri Bendel (remember this post?). Leopard Belt: J Crew. Watch: Michael Kors. Nails: Essie "Fifth Avenue". Lipstick: Mac "Ruby Woo".

Finally getting a chance to wear these red wellies, though I am in no way an advocate of this cold messy weather. One thing I love about these rain boots is the black and white stripe detail on the back, and the interior is also black and white stripes.

Do you own or have your eyes on some bright wellies?

Mother, We Just Can't Get Enough

Sweater: J Crew. Vest: Thrifted (Gap, reversible and first seen here). Leopard Print Jeans: Current / Elliott (eBay). Boots: Audrey Brooke. Bag: Longchamp. Coat: Michael Kors. Watch: Michael Kors. Headband: Nordstrom. Nails: Essie "Fifth Avenue".

And I just can't get enough of my leopard print jeans by Current / Elliott. I may have to do a remix post with all of the outfits I make around them.

This Time I'm Not Leaving Without You

Coat: Forever 21. Pants: Paris Blues (TJ Maxx). Shirt: No Label. Shoes: Pyramids (last seen here). Belt: Gap. Bracelet: Sears. Watch: Michael Kors.

So... there I was, minding my own business, just cutting through Forever 21 to get to their second exit, when I spy this coat (on sale!) and was immediately reminded of Blair's coat, (seen here, and here) that I nearly died of envy over… one thing led to the next, and the next was me walking out of Forever with this coat.

Caught in the Middle of Nowhere

Shirt and Vest: Banana Republic (outlet). Pants: Current/Elliott (eBay). Shoes: Thrifted (Buffalo Exchange). Watch: Michael Kors. Bracelet: Sears.

After prowling ebay for a reasonable price on these Current/Elliott leopard jeans for a couple months now, I finally got them! I don't usually shop for clothing online unless shipping and returns are free but I took a chance on these, because I am obsessed with them, and they fit perfectly!

Any other fun eBay finds out there or is anybody else dabbling in the realm of animal print pants??

Don't Let Me Get In My Zone

Coat: Land's End Canvas. Gingham Shirt: Land's End. Sweater: J. Crew. Vest: Old Navy. Jeans: J. Crew. Loafers: Cole Haan. Necklace: Nordstrom. Watch: Michael Kors. Bracelet: Sears. Lips: Revlon "Hot Coral".

So... I have lusted after a Barbour jacket for quite some time now, but at $369 had my hesitations, so I was thrilled when I came across a more affordable version, this one, at Land's End Canvas for much less and on sale.

Anybody else have an outerwear and/or Barbour obsession?
