Turns out I was patriotic for Presidents' Day with my camouflage bottoms and blue and white striped top. Oh, and that eagle rhinestone necklace that's kind of hard to ignore…
Top: Land's End {old} // Pant: Gap (recent, sale!) // Shoes: Ralph Lauren {old}
Necklaces: Forever 21
Print mixing rule of three… Stripes, camouflage, and leopard.
I didn't go overboard, right? RIGHT?
(not that I strictly adhere to this "rule" or anything…)
- I love long weekends. I worked in retail for about 3 years after college and never used to get to enjoy long weekends so this was my first official holiday weekend!
- I went skiing (finally!) with my parents in Maine on Saturday, partied with some buddies that evening (obvi did the Harlem Shake), strapped on some snow shoes on Sunday and walked on the frozen lake with the pup, then watched countless episodes of Damages on Monday with my mom (such an addicting show, try Netflix).
- As I am writing this I am painting my nails… it was very much needed.
- The camouflage pants pictured above from Gap were under $6. They have ankle zippers too… paired with my leopard print shoes and sailor stripe tee, I feel like such a trend muffin.
I'm curious, do you have any "rules" when it comes to print mixing? Like the "rule of three"?
I don't really have rules with print mixing, but I adamantly refuse to put black and brown close together in an outfit. I'm not even sure why...I just do. Also, those pants are SWEET, especially with that price. Congrats on them!
